Here is a gift I recieved for my 20th Birday (March 2014), and it is honestly unlike anything I've ever recieved before. Last year, my grandparents gave me a Michael Kors wristlet, but there's something about a designer bag that is so grown up LOL! This was the first bag that set off my handbag obsession.. and since then I have bought three Kate Spade bags... Sounds so much worse saying it out loud. Anyways, this bag is called the Michael Kors Bedford Pebble Messenger Bag. I don't think it is in stores anymore so the name might be a little off. This bag was either under-hyped or rare because a) they sold out quick and b) they never came back. I also wanted to write about this bag because I can't find a single review on it.
Story time: Since I live in Canada we can easily ship things to the US and go pick it up. I live an hour away from the border so we drive to a Post-Office and pick it up. We have done this many times but unless you have seen the item in person you could be in for a surprise. So I saw the bag on the Macy's site for $148 and I was like "Wow, Americans really do get the best deals!". Anyways, when we went to pick it up it was maybe the size of a small card holder, it wouldn't even fit my iPhone 5 which is about 4". We returned it on the spot and got the refund and all was good :)
I was debating whether I should get this bag or the Jet Set Travel Tote for Macbook (which I am probably getting this year) and it was one of the tougher times I've had deciding haha. I decided on this bag because it was in style and nicer to have a compact bag. As you can see in this photo below, the interior is black with MK monogram on it, then there's a zipper pocket, card holders and an open pocket. I love this because you really don't need a wallet. I use my wristlet in it anyways, but it does get heavy and full that way.
I think that's all I have to say about this bag! I really love the soft leather for crossbody bags, but for larger one's I'd prefer Saffiano leather because those bags hold more. I use this bag quite often, but since school is in session I find myself needing a bigger bag. For now I use a regular school backpack, but maybe the Jet Set Travel Tote will be my upgrade this year!
